Temp-Permanent Purchasing/Logistics Coordinator

Job Description

A machine shop is seeking a Purchasing/Logistics Coordinator to join their team.  Work hours are first shift working Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Responsibilities:

  • Create purchase orders and forward by email to vendors
  • Review open purchase orders on a weekly basis to identify delays
  • Follow-up with vendors if deliveries are delayed
  • Work closely with freight companies on purchases from outside the US to coordinate deliveries
  • Handle intercompany purchases with our Europe companies as needed
  • Collaborate with Sales & Accounting to create a new workflow for a new product line
  • Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets
  • Perform other duties related to purchasing or logistics for purchasing 

Qualifications:

  • Previous Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Outlook and Excel; Microsoft Dynamics NAV knowledge is a plus
  • Process strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively
  • Must have good reasoning abilities, sound judgement, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have an eye for detail and be comfortable handling multiple tasks
  • Must be reliable with a solid work history 

Only candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered. This company offers benefits upon permanent hire.

$17 to $20/hr, Perm Pay, based on experience
