Temp-Permanent Billing/Accounts Receivable Administrative Coordinator

Job Description

A non-profit organization is seeking a Biller/Accounts Receivable Administrative Coordinator to complete all processes related to billing and accounts receivable for families and outside funding sources.  Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Duties:

  • Discuss payment arrangements and subsidy options with families
  • Obtain funding approval prior to provision of services
  • Answer questions regarding eligibility criteria, cost, and how to register
  • Create invoices and submit to outside funding sources and families
  • Complete attendance verification for all programs and reconcile databases
  • Bill all services funded by waivers, ensure all documentation sheets include required elements, and follow-up on error reports
  • Process payments received, make bank deposits, download back-up information, and post all payment transactions into accounting software
  • Monitor billings, collections, credit, check requests, and make collection calls
  • Conduct self-audits and assist with formal compliance audits from outside entities
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
  • Multiple pay source billing and collection experience is needed
  • Must have experience using QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with DODD Billing System is preferred
  • Must be detail-oriented, display initiative and flexibility, with the ability to be a decision maker with good judgement
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to prioritize and balance workload, work independently, and also as part of a team
  • Must be outgoing, friendly, and a people person
  • Must demonstrate and respect confidentiality at all times
  • Must have reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license 

Only candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered.

$17 to $19/hr, based on experience
